shhh!

The Easter bunny is working at our house to set out the clues that will lead our children to their Easter baskets. Unfortunately, Andy's late work schedule along with Savannah's stomach virus and a middle of the night nose bleed for Julia meant the Easter bunny got a late start. Oops!  Wyatt and Savannah have already been sent back to bed this morning and 8:00 is approaching quickly. However, since I saved last year's clues on the computer, I thought I would share them with my blogging friends in case you want to start this fun tradition at your house.

1. Psalm 23:5 You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies.
2. 1 Samuel 15:22 But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord?”

3. Exodus 28:12 Fasten both stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the Israelites.

4. Nehemiah 3:9 The Dung Gate was repaired by Malkijah son of Reab, ruler of the district of Beth Hakkerem.

5. Ezekiel 24:3 Put on the cooking pot; put it on and pour water into it.

6. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

7. Deuteronomy 6:9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and your gates.

8. 1 Samuel 14:10 But if they say “Come up to us, we will climb up, because that will be our sign that the Lord has given them into our hands. (the kids are to go upstairs)
9. Isaiah 11:10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him and his place of rest will be glorious.

10. Proverbs 13:1 A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke. (Andy has this clue)

11. Ezekiel 23:41 You sat on an elegant couch with a table spread before it on which you had placed the incense and oil that belonged to me
Sending the kids upstairs gives me the Easter bunny a minute to pull
the baskets from their hiding place and set them out.
