photo session - Kinsley and Kallie

Kallie's hospital pictures were less than stellar. She had a rash, and the photographer was not impressive.  I didn't do much better, but we tried to get some keepers in her special outfit now that the rash is gone.

Kinsley is one happy girl.

Kallie stayed awake most of the time.  She's a content baby, but she did not like being on the blanket too long.  She likes to snuggle.

I still can't get over that hair!

preciousness!

possibly my favorite

Check out those long fingers!  Future flutist or pianist?

This girl loves to dance.  We danced and danced.  That's a girl after my own heart.  I have always wished that I stuck dance out all the way through college.  I may have done it, but it was too much commitment for my parents with five kids behind me.

Build those biceps and triceps, Girlie! Don't let anyone take advantage of you, but if they try, call on your mighty cousins who will have your back - Zach, Austin, Logan, Ira, and Isaac - mess with her, and you mess with them!
We are still trying to decide who she looks like.  I found an old picture of Savannah, and there are some similarities there, but I think she mostly looks like my brother, Jonathan.  She'll probably look like somebody else next month, so it's all in good fun.  Kallie just looks like Kallie.

So much joy!

Kinsley - Hospital pics

I have visited Kinsley three times since she arrived on Thursday.  This much I know: she is strong.  Kinsley has already rolled onto her side a couple of times.  hmmm reminds me of a strong girl I know - remember how I prayed for a strong girl when we were in process to adopt Julia- as you know, God gave me She-Ra.

Kinsley also knows what she wants, and she lets you know if you are not giving it to her.  That reminds me of Regan at her age.  Regan is strong-willed to this day.  Won't it be fun to watch these two girls grow up?

Her gown says - "Every good and perfect gift comes from above." -James 1:17

I think it came from Etsy.  I love Etsy.

Oh Happy Day!

Kinsley Noelle arrived this morning.

8lbs 6oz, 20 1/4 inches
 red hair

That's all I know for now.  I hope to meet her today and update with more pictures.

Kinsley is my third niece.  I have seven nephews.

Evening Update

The following pictures are from my visit with Kinsley.

She likes to keep her hand up against her face.  Apparently, they witnessed this several times on ultrasounds before her birth.

strawberry blonde hair

I just have to share this little bit of information about her name. Noelle is the middle name of my sister and Tessa's twin, Tasha.  Tasha died two weeks after her birth.

She's pretty and wonderful.  I will be visiting again tomorrow.

Congratulations to John and Tessa!

The Big Reveal

Tessa and John learned the gender of their baby yesterday on what would have been my parent's 44th anniversary.  They kept the secret until today when the family gathered to celebrate our nation's birthday.  We learned through a DQ cake that a baby girl will be joining our gatherings in November.  WhooHoo!  Isaac will be here at the end of the month, and Kinsley Noelle will join us later in the year.  Noelle is my sister Tasha's middle name.  Tasha is Tessa's twin, and she went to Heaven just two weeks after she was born.  A newborn boy and a newborn girl = so much fun and lovin' to come.
