I am attaching some of Savannah's artwork to this post. She has always loved art and has always shown potential, but she seems to have really blossomed this year. We actually had tiles made from the bird picture and the aborigine style print of the little girl looking through the forest leaves. We loved the whale, but Julia smeared it. The other piece is a self-portrait. I will post some pictures of her pottery soon.
In other news, our power was restored today at 4:00p.m. It was 31 degrees in the house at that time, so we are still staying away from home because we did not think it would warm up enough before bedtime. It was eight days and 15 hours without power, or 231 hours, but who's counting? We found out today that when the electrician we hired fixed the pole on our house, the call for a city inspector was not logged correctly. Had this not been straightened out, we would likely be facing at least a few more days without power.
Tomorrow is Savannah's first of three dates with Dad in the next few weeks. She is going to the Father/daughter dance, so pictures will be forthcoming.
