Sometimes you line up the perfect shot for the butterfly (my favorite stroke to photograph), and then the coaches and stroke judges stand in your way, and you miss it. Then you get home and realize you have a back stroke photo that you love. Sometimes a girl enters a meet anxious to PR in the freestyle and does not do so, but then she PRs in the back and butterfly. Sometimes two kids who you drew into this whole swimming adventure can't swim on May 31st, but they both win their freestyle heats on July 5th.
Sometimes an ordinary day with an ordinary meet makes you smile :)
