Birthday!

We tried to get a grandkid pic for my dad's birthday.  In hindsight, I wish we had spread the kids out more.  We wanted to duplicate a picture taken a few years ago and never did so.

More Beach Fun

Julia has some photography skills.

My favorite photo from the entire week.  Classy!

This is right where I prefer to have my toes.  I have never wanted to move to the beach more than this year.  It has been three years since I last saw a beach, and that was too long.  More than likely it will be three years before I see one again.

Another favorite - so cool!

Inventing his own game.

I love this, but Savvy thinks she looks like a little kid. hmm-maybe why I love it.  Those growing up years are fleeting.

Julia - photos session two

For our previous session, Julia could not tumble because she was wearing a swing top.  We opted to take a second session out to the beach for some active shots.

Portraits

After paying for family portraits, I knew I would have to give up the idea of individual portraits for Wyatt and Julia.  They are long overdue.  So I took them each to the beach on separate nights and tried to do the best I could with my camera.  I ended up being mostly pleased.  Even with her hair pulled up, it was hard to control the flyaway on Julia, and it's hard to get a natural smile out of Wyatt.

Julia is a ham and loves having her picture taken, so we can work with all kinds of poses and ideas.  Another post will include a later session with her.  I just had no ideas for Wyatt.  Of course I came up with several after we got home, and he bought the cutest fedora on our last day.  I wish we had had that in time for some fun beach pics --hmm, maybe I will coerce him to have a session with me near our local water tower which is a beautiful park.
